If you are like most folks moving to Colorado for the tech scene then up north would have a lot more options in terms of employment, but as you say it does come with a little bit of a premium.  

I know of some former members who are really pissed off by all of the unethical behavior & have been working behind the scenes to see what can be done.

Yeah, LA has a pretty vibrant tech scene. 

Because the people running the online presence programs for the Air Force know creating a scene about something gives it far more attention than it would've otherwise received.As with all things in life, your mileage will most definitely vary.
