Generally, unless you get that lot dirt cheap, you need to be in a great location to make an RS3 lot desirable (think Roscoe Village, Lincoln Square, Andersonville, Lakeview, etc).

., a quick search came up with this - https://www.adirondackdailyenterprise.com/news/local-news/20...The law will prohibit the issuance of new unhosted STR permits in residential neighborhoods, among other new measures that elected officials say are intended to preserve the Lake Placid community while still inviting the economic benefits STRs bring to this village...So that probably means that commercial zoning and the like will be the only way to do it now.The article said there would be a 5% tax on STR as well, so that means it is still doable, just have to watch where it is located.

Welcome to Bigger Pockets, the smorgasbord of free real estate advise.Although I have been a lifetime resident of Ohio, I had to Google Belpre, at 6,000 people it is about 10 times as big as the village I grew up in.Have you an your buddy decided what aspect of real estate you are going to work in, rentals, fix and flip?

I mean you can buy a home to live in these areas for 50 to 75k that's livable.. as opposed to pay 5k a month to live in a retirement village out our way..
