I will only speak for Texas. Each property has 4-7 "taxing jurisdictions" which potentially can change their tax rates every single year. Add all of these up and you get the total tax rate for that specific property. You could potentially have properties 1 mile apart and have one property at a 2.7% tax rate and the other at 3.1%, it just depends if the property is located within certain taxing jurisdictions.

For a quicker analysis, the average tax rate for Texas is 2.8% (2.8 cents per $1). Austin Tax rates average lower, but most other big cities hover around the 2.8 number.

Hope this helps for Texas! I don't believe you will be able to find a list of what you are looking for because each property can be different, down to the school district.

It's more complicated than just listing the tax rates in each county and each state. There are village taxes in some areas, Some places tax X percentage of assessment. One place may charge taxes on 80% of assessed value, while the next town may charge on 110% of assessment. There are also special assessments so you may find a group of houses on a certain road now have an additional tax bill of $800 a year because they are paying off the sewers being installed 3 years ago. Some places include a "garbage tax", you will also find that police and fire rates are different. Also I would guess that school taxes would be important to have and that will vary by district and possibly even more than that. So trying to just make a simple chart wouldn't get the information you are looking for.

When you say local county/ state are you referring to the County Property Appraiser site?Not sure about nationally but in Florida the County Property Appraiser

sites I have checked have all listed the Trim notices and property tax

information and assessment values.
