The home has been vacant for a few months and is 2 years old so I guess assuming the offer is accepted, the inspection will hopefully reveal if there is indeed a problem or not.

But I figured if some landlord let her stay for 7 years, she must be a good tenant, so I took a chance and she's been great, going on 3 years now.One idea I've played with (haven't used it yet) is NOT revealing yourself as a landlord.

LDLL won't do a formal inspection that would reveal all the corners that were cut.
