The rental market in Mount Vernon is good. 

The motors were expensive to maintain and while someone might want to live on it, it's very small.  

One of the units will be paying to run the furnace motor.

Make sure the closing agent does not breath the numbers that apply to you to anyone, there is no reason to say any number out loud if you have buyer and seller in front of you, so instruct the agent to keep their mount shut!

I am originally from Mount Airy and lived right off Hwy 52.

I used to live in Baltimore - near the Mount Vernon area.

Anyway, the most important component of the system is the patch block which is sometimes a tan or black plastic box mounted to the back of the building from which the wires are distributed to different apartments.

You'd need to do this for both hinges to get an even mount.

There are holes in the sheetrock and ceiling, some doors have been broken, the AC condensor, blower motor, and breaker box all stripped bare so obviously I don't want to jump in with a significant balance outstanding on the house.What I have been able to determine: the previous owner had been there 15 years and I'm guessing I will owe most or all of the 2011 taxes (about $2.5 K)My rehab estimates are around $12K, taxable value is at 70K (with homestead exepmtion), recent flips (same nighborhood) have sold for 80-90K.
