I'm mainly into the home videos (Insanity, T25, etc.) but have done weights in the past as well as yoga, cross-fit, etc.  

High end got clobbered as you will recall 50% in some cases.. my brother in law bought a home in LA hills that was worth 2.5 in the mid to late 80's and he got it for 1.2 in 1993.. it bounced back to 2.5 by end of 90's then shot up to 4 mil... then 08 it probably came back a little but I am sure its right back up to 4 to 5 mil..the dot com created spike in value late 90's then the dot com bust dropped prices then they came roaring back and by 2006 to 2007 made new high... then the 08 09 crash.. and it retreated again only to come storming back as you said with the google facebook and all other manner of high tech expansion and profitability.. to make new highs..

Do I want to retire ASAP to a tropical beach in Thailand or to a gorgeous mountaintop retreat in Colombia?

It is not exactly a country for much international property business, but I am helping a family sell their luxury retreat in Jacmel, Haiti.Besides this assignment, international property business is growing, not only by institutional investing.

I like the Lenovo Yoga 3 the best.

Even with the oil industry in retreat, we are having trouble finding skilled construction workers.  

Some of my other interests include: traditional clay sculpting, science, amateur prop building, literature and writing, crafts of all sorts, animal fostering, hiking, horror movies, music, laughing (a lot), yoga and plant-based cooking.

Our saving grace on the buy-and-hold side is solid, reliable appreciation.I don't know Detroit personally, but I recently spent 3 days at an investor's retreat with 2 big players from Detroit, and based on their instructional presentation and dinner conversations, From what Robert & Frank shared with us, the situation in Detroit couldn't be more different from Charleston.
