Hi, my name is Beth. I'm a complete newbie to real estate investing. I have so much to learn, and I joined biggerpockets to take advantage of the wealth of information provided here and to network with other investors. I've especially been inspired by listening to the success stories within the podcasts, and figured, why not me too?
I want start out by house hacking a multifamily property, after selling my current house and moving out west this fall. Right now I have a hefty mortgage and a (very) large amount of student loan debt. I don't want to spend my life in repayment, which is exactly what would happen if I don't find my way out of the rat race. I'm hoping that by investing in my financial education, and putting it to use with real estate investing, will allow me to do that.

Outside of biggerpockets, I am a computer animation VFX artist. Some of my other interests include: traditional clay sculpting, science, amateur prop building, literature and writing, crafts of all sorts, animal fostering, hiking, horror movies, music, laughing (a lot), yoga and plant-based cooking.
