House hacking is not wildly "profitable" as it not going to get you rich quick, but rather the real way it is done, which is slowly.  

Because you are right 10k a month does not go very far if you need to pay others to take care of things for you.. not to get totally off track here but there is a Motorcycle ride from Oregon to I think MO or Kansas that is all off road.. at least the wild parts of the US west might be the JV compared to what you did.. that looks like a great trip.

When people is asking to compare syndication vs DST it means it's totally newbie question too sorry too say.I would say the DST is more structured like an REIT, it's the Mercedez Benz of Commercial Real Estate.In syndication it's more like Fast-and-Furious drifting car haha, some of the operators really wild wild west, they are running with DSCR 0.6x to succumb investor's money.

what I like about MLS is you can go through a normal buying process. .wholesalers want to hype their deals info is wildly incorrect.. they want up front NON refundable deposits and your not getting any of that back.. they just try to create a false sense of urgency.MLS you take your time make your offers you can offer less you protect your EM you have inspections you can re trade within your contract time lines etc etc..MUCH more buyer protection that way.. the market will dictate the final outcome.. not a wholesaler hype machine and no real due diligence.

The current market for investment promoters is the wild west.

With that kind of real estate in your pocket you are certainly wildly successful and a very savvy and intelligent person. 

The price you were quoted is wildly cheap. 

It sounds wild to think of it this way, but certainly will free up cash to invest in the next couple of years.
