Now if the contamination is too great or so much time has pass that it "soaked" into the drywall/plaster then demo might be the easiest way to address it for those surfaces.

Last month however, we closed on our first deal as investors, a SFR rental in Cedar Park which is just north of Austin.I joined BP about a month ago and since then I've been listening to the podcasts, reading through the forums and reading books to soak up as much knowledge as I can.

So back to the original post @Richard Chan - being a newbie I'm not looking back yet, but as @Bill S. suggests - all that information is there for the asking (especially on BP) - it seems wise to soak it in as best as possible before making a big move with big regrets.

I've actually got a real estate license here in Texas (Home Team of America) that I only use for my personal investments and to help out friends/family.I'm wide open to meet folks, add value to the conversation where I can, and soak up information like a sponge.I'd love to chat/network with other investors in SA who're actually doing deals (not kicking the tires).
