They have been very brutal with AirBnB....and that's allowed only in a very specific area near the stadium and probably requires a license.I don't think your renovations probably add value to most people.....it might to you for your situation, but typically when you start adding spaces and rearrange the layout it just doesn't make sense to most people.Not impossible, but very few PMs want to take on boarding homes....so you will probably have to self manage.Make sure home is not in an HOA or if it is, know what the HOA rules are.

@Sam BallHey, so they do general cleaning of floors, countertops/tables, doors etc....They also mop the kitchen and bathrooms and clean sinks...hoover the rooms and set up blankets pillows and clean/rearrange furniture... they clean ceiling fans, chandeliers....But things like the vents do not need to be cleaned every time (once in a while) and so when i go down there i do that myself.For the rental that you saw cleaning the vents would be part of your fixing it up costs before you go to rent it out (i had to do that with a couple of mine too).

I've always kind of dreamed of owning property and househacking it.The only thing is, I did spend 2020 rearranging my life and adjusting it with all the new tricks I learned with books and podcasts, and I do not believe I could have any better deal than I currently have for living in Los Angeles.
