A/C works backwards radiates heat other wise to be fanned out.It will be hard to sell as few wanting to put that much into it.

I did some investigation online and from what I read, there doesn't seem to be a way turn down the tap water temperature without it affecting the temp of the water feeding the radiators.  

So I have an old radiated steam heating system that is an work horse!

I am looking to replace a smart thermostat on a 4 families building; currently, a 250,000 BTU furnace supply heat to entire building radiators.

@Pierce Conway I just converted a 3 unit building from a single gas boiler (with cast iron radiators) to 3 separate mini-split AC/Heat systems.

@Laura WilliamsAs a contractor and flipper Id have to say it really depends on location, heating/air element (electric/gas/radiator) etc.

Account Closed - Granted, I'm from an area where I've never seen a house without a furnace (or steam system for radiators or gravity heater or such) but I can't see why a lender would care if a buyer does?

The cost of buying new boilers (forced HW) and updating the radiators in each unit would cost north of $20K so we're simply setting the rents at market rate and then adding the former year's utility bills split among the three units. 

I am having a hard time heating the back units because the steam is not reaching those radiators.
