In order to count a room as a bedroom on an FHA appraisal, I believe it has to have heat and have its own entrance, meaning if you have one bedroom that's connected to a hallway, and on the other side of that bedroom was an attic that you made into a bedroom, you would have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other and I don't believe this is allowed. 

Your arrangement is not one I can see working out long term unless you had separate facilities & entrances on the other unit.

The surrounding apartments had major improvements that maximized the space (larger windows, removing hallways and changing entrance, decks, cameras etc)  and created a very nice space.

Get a security camera that monitors the front and back entrances and operates via WiFi.

You obviously have given attempt to notify them, so would imagine that you have find everything possible for this emergency entrance. 

For example entrance of the property is located on the area owned by another person.To solve the problem legally is costly. 

Hi Drew, I have been crunching the numbers and running the projections for my grand entrance into REI early next year in Texas, and basically came to a similar conclusion to flip for cash and buy-n-hold for longer term equity buildup.

We had so much we tiled the entrance foyer, a 1/2 bath & rear mudroom & still have 30 pieces left.

There’s a separate entrance to the apartment.

Perfect for salon or small medical practice (350) sqft- Single electric meter- Entrance to condo is in the back- No fire door separating.Question, has anyone used two separate leases for this type of situation.
