Below are a few areas and things to look for if you're exploring investing in an AirBnB on the Oregon Coast.Most notably, the heart of the Oregon Coast in Lincoln City STR permits will be more difficult to come by.

There is a gamble there that the second appraisal comes in at or below the first.

That is money you could be getting as rent.. instead they probably keep the rent a little below market so they can pull more money for themselves/ the PM company.

By year end I will tackle a MF, value add with my son that would be sweet if we can swing the coop/tic (handling the finance challenges is the hurdle) so he ends up with a unit at below 50% of retail.  

Currently the building runs well, good tenants who are below market rent but there is harmony and dependable cash flow.

However the HELOC rate will always be 0.75% above prime while the high yield cash savings rate will always be below prime of course...
