Get a circular saw and a sawzall and one of the led spot lights that uses your tool batteries.I usually do our tile back splashes and with the mosaics on mesh that are in right now a good pair of tile nippers and a large and small grout float.

The kitchen got the most attention with an LVL to open to the living room, we also added wood-grain tile, white shaker cabinets, stainless appliances, granite, and a mosaic back splash.

Reconfigure the kitchen, paint cabinets, new hardware, new laminate counters, "tin" backsplash, new stainless appliances.Remove carpet and refinish hardwood floors in living and bedrooms.

You're in construction, so consider adding some things like ceramic and glass tile back splashes, ceramic floors, ceramic baths with nice towel holders and light fixtures.

Painted cabinets are becoming more popular now-don't think it has to be a sterile white but a soft neutral grey could work if you have the right countertops and backsplash.  

Thats what I use for back splashes , glue and grout .

Will you be using granite for a back splash or something else?

But, granite typically takes at least a week from the time the cabinets go in until the granite is installed -- and after that, you have to have the plumber return to hook up the sink and you have to have the tile guy come in to do the backsplash.
