Pretend your story is being told to you by someone you dearly love - like your mother or best friend, etc.Pretend they tell you that they have a tenant who is way behind on rent, and who wants to pay them partial rent, but your loved one is still hoping they will catch up, so they don't want to start eviction.What would you say to them?

Pretend it's a listing or something.Not sure why you have no money, but my last couple seller financed deals have been at 90% of PP at 6% for 24 yr straight am.  

What I used to do, is pretend I was one of my tenants, and look at options on Craigslist, etc.  

Just pretend you are shopping for a similar unit and try to see your unit objectively from a tenant's point of view, is my advice.

I won't pretend to understand our overly complicated tax system, but I trust my accountant when he tells me that this is the best way to CYA and give the government as little as I can legally.

By the way, if you break your own window to get access to your property, it may be easier than breaking down the door.Its time landlords stopped pretending they gave up their rights just because government decided not to enforce the legal contracts!
