Last purchase (which is going to end up being our house) was through a former neighbor who lives across the street and the owner passed, and the grown daughter was cleaning it out on the weekends.Not a direct route, but a friend of mine owns a vintage furniture store.  

Having said that, finding a rockstar agent (one that can connect us with the team mentioned above, and can FIND deals) can be a true gem...

PV is a hidden gem of Los Angeles.

That being said, Norristown is not quite a "gem" yet, maybe more of a coal that has been put in a pressure chamber and is bound to shape up.

With the REO gem's I don't think you're going to have time to buy (initially?)

Gems can be found anywhere...a poorly managed facility can bring in great money once the right systems are in place in any market.

2/1 are going for $1,250 to $1,300 south of Montrose east of Kedzie, vintage.

If you get off the beaten BP path you'll find gems everywhere with less competition.
