Rent appliances - if you are filling a new unit, offer to include the fridge, parking space, storage, etc. for an additional monthly fee.

Bring a flashlight to your walk through, look under sinks and behind washer/dryers, and fridges.  

The fridge, and the window a/c were both written in as part of the deal as well as some other items. but I didn't think I had to write in the condensing unit as part of the contract, just figured it would be implied.  

I did give them plenty of notice and yet I feel responsible for inconveniencing them - no air conditioning, fridge/freezer, they had to eat out, etc. etc.  

like others are saying,, market dependent and rent price to reflect what is or not included..I would say kitchen is a yes by landlord, fridge, stove, dishwasher..

Then you weigh all of that against the cost of a new fridge and washer dryer. $1500 or less for a basic replacement appliance package I'm guessing?
