In our area it's becoming increasingly difficult to find flip potentials so I'm beginning to broaden my horizons (with caution obviously). 

It depends on your time horizon.

{really that whole swath of Southwestern Ontario from Bobcaygeon country over to the escarpment and down to the lakes} ... but, young Samuel might take offence and tell us both there are no storm clouds on the horizon ;-)

Just to clarify on@Jeff Devillestatement for crowd funding in equity investments the depreciation and potentially interest expenses are passed through to the investor so you do get the tax deferred benefit presumably for a shorter investment horizon then say buy and hold investing.

I currently am a franchise consultant and looking to expand my horizons.

I think some are looking at forbearance out of caution but I still have some refis on the horizon and I don't want any negative impacts to my credit.

So maybe in your case try to look a bit farther away from your current horizon,not to far to were you do not know the area well, but far enough to were the prices may be a little better. hope that helps. 

Prepare to have your horizons vastly expanded.
