There are some major transportation improvements underway here that we believe will improve home prices in that term.

Here in FL you need a permit to move a home and if the home is old and poor condition it will not be allowed to be transported across county lines (or at all if Kt does not meet certain construction requirements).

I currently work in the transportation industry, which has nothing to do with real estate, so my time to learn and invest is limited.

It's crazy that Garfield doesn't know what it has; any east/west street has skyline views, so many historic, classic Chicago greystones, several transportation options into the Loop...and then trash and despair in nearly all of the countless vacant lots.

Close to the transportation systems is a big factor in Chicago, keep that in mind.

NWI is receiving MASSIVE amounts of funding from the State (check it out here: http://www.rdatransformation.com/) to boost the economy and enhance public transportation to/from Chicago. 

New Jersey has become a very Location oriented State, you have your communities, schools and taxes to concern yourself with and as always Location, Location & Location.As an investor and or House Hacker, the key is Transportation, Transportation and More Transportation.

There is already good public transport to that immediate area but not everyone can use it for commuting.

With concrete it may not be cost effective here with logistics and closing streets to transport to build a SFR.

The public transportation routes have been there as long as I can remember, so nothing new there IMO.
