I forbid mattresses and recommend they store all clothing in water-proof containers.

It's nothing to them to pile highly flammable clothing around an outlet with a plug in it that gets yanked on often.

However,  I was at the house yesterday to inspect an issue they had with the furnace and I noticed that in her new washing machine ( that I supplied) she had a bunch of towels, mop heads and cleaning cloths she uses in her commercial business.

I had a tenant with a dryer that wouldn't dry the clothes (their dryer).

She walked up to three miles for school, worked in the fields since she was 10 which was the only way she could get school clothes, and bought her first toothbrush when she was 16 but lost most of her teeth by age 20.

What some tenants do with top loaders, is they let the water run, and then stuff more clothes in it, breaking the belt, and sometimes the motor and transmission.Not sure if this is top or front loader.

We buy nice cloth or pliable plastic ones, mildew resistant, not the cheap kind.
