I rented my smallest house to a middle age man coming out of a transition program; nice guy who had a job and very positive feedback from his supervisors both at work AND at the transition program.Sadly, he was one of those guys who did well when closely monitored but poorly on his own.

Calls me back and said well it was approved but a supervisor didn't approve it.I find it very unprofessional how this played out, I'm not sure if the Realtor has an investor friend that might be kicking him back?

I finally ask for a supervisor, and told him I had a golden retriever, other than that no person lived at the house,,,he ask me if I knew "xxx xxx",,the niece, I said I knew who she was, but had never meet her.She still used my house as a residence, and her daughter had turned 16,,the insurance company thought I was simply not insuring her,,,we got it resolved, but he said if I hadn't been with them for many years, it could have caused me problems (they could have found a reason to not re-new my policy because they thought I was lying.

I had a floor supervisor tell me once that "If someone shows up on-time, sober, works hard and does not steal they are 80% of the way there" I thought it was really cynical at the time.

But if a property is destroyed by the hand of the owner it has to be rebuilt as it's current use, which is probably as a SFH (RS)I have spoken to zoning attorneys, expediters, supervisors at the zoning and building department, and about 10 alderman throughout the years and every time I was told no way it can go from a 2 to a 3 or a 3 to a 4 if it has RS zoning.
