The equivalent of a spec home in the residential world. 3 Bedroom/3 Baths, 2000 sq ft, with game & theater room.

I commissioned over a dozen in LA, and now I'm trying to bring it to Uptown Charlotte, with respect to all the local culture and using local artists.I'm getting a surprisingly welcome response so far, have commissioned one temporary mural on the windows of the old Carolina Theater, and have a couple more in the works.It's a fun departure from renovation design (though that's still my first love), and might help change the stodgy, buttoned-down, uber-unhip-yuppie-banker-esque rep of Uptown. 

Aside from an interest in real estate investing I am the founder of a small running group at the University of Wyoming that's getting started this fall and I love theater, music, computer programming and building things!

The property is well kept, built in 2003 and in walking distance of a nice family park, shopping center, entertainment and a movie theater.

When I would walk in the morning, there was a family of foxes that lived in the old theater and they played in the open field where the shops along 38th are.

Eat cheap and stay out of restaurants, coffee houses, movie theaters and restaurants unless its your 3rd job.  

Combine all that with an existing infrastructure that had already had in a place a golf course, performing arts theater, and the best Mexican food in town (Ninfa's, El Tiempo, Villa Arcos), and you've got a good recipe for explosive growth.

For what it's worth, construction has picked up again in the west valley (Buckeye, Goodyear, Avondale) for homes, and a theater is under construction in the area that rumor says they plan to build a mall in Goodyear. 

But a recent 7 million dollar project just completed around the corner including a 100+ stall parking garage and 225 seat performing arts theater and popular hipster restaurant represent at least some money coming back to the area.
