Also the reason I did not paint is because if the smoke odor seeps through the primer I don't want to have to primer again over nicely painted walls.

A lot of contractors will grumble about using paper that isn't theirs, however at the end of the day you know exactly what's included in your own contracts, you may have to source more to find someone who will agree to those types of terms, however that gives you the most leverage.

I don't know how the floor sanding guys were able to stand the odor when they were sanding - it's one of the worst and strongest things I've ever smelled. 

But the house just happens to be next door to another that I already own, and it's not in bad shape, other than the pet odor issue.

We coated the entire subfloor in Kilz Original which is the BEST method for sealing in foul odors!  

There is no damage, it's water vapor not burned nicotine from smoke that stains and odor lingers.

A quick Google revealed that they smell and have an odor however I have not seen anything on whether or not they chew things like carpet or wood trim up.

The look back is one year, but if you're within 30 days of filing that's a better position.A letter to reaffirm a debt specifically addressing a particular filing is gold and will be unlikely to be included unless it places other creditors at a disadvantage or appears to have some odor to it.I was a Creditor's Representative here in BK court (appointed by the court) and I've used the reaffirmation route through the debtor's attorney. :)

It has a definite odor and the smells hangs.Personally I don't care what you do.
