While you might not be finding the home-run that you are hoping for, you are getting a foot in the door of one of the hottest real estate markets in America.  

Although I'm in the market to buy an owner occupied house, SD is one of the hottest markets in the country right now.

Obviously everyone is going to be partial to their city, I don't think anyone can deny that since most of the Houston oil people are working abroad that this is probably one of the hottest real estate markets currently. 

It is no wonder the top millennial market is also hottest in the nation...Denver.

@Kenneth Rose I did a post on the appreciation of Philadelphia (https://www.biggerpockets.com/...) that I would check out, it highlights the hottest area being West Philly, and the demand and future predictions for value.

West Loop is literally one of the hottest markets in the country right now if not the world.
