It's also an old city with some geographic constraints to new development...if you're close to public transit in a good location, there's always going to be upward pressure on price (and rents) and limited supply.

For example, the laws in Texas allow me to include specific provisions in my leases that might not be legal in states like New York.One such provision I enforce is that once a tenant gives notice of non-renewal, I can immediately begin showing the property to prospective renters.Because its so state-specific I would reach out to a NY landlord, agent or property manger for more geographically specific advice.

I also found that most host on FF did not have great descriptions or great pictures, so it seemed like "lower quality" stay's, at least where I was looking in FL.As far as nurses low balling you, not everyone will be the right fit.
