Well, STR can work well for people who own a vacation house for personal use, and just want to generate some extra income when not in use.  

Not to say you cannot do well, but it’ll take some extra TLC.

Most investors let the tenants pay down the mortgage and use extra money for their down payment on their next rental.  

Some of this may have been grandfathered in, but now need updating.I would pay the extra say $50,000 to have an Engineer firm go over.

Most people like to figure it out themselves but lack the support or knowledge in all parts of multifamily investing.

Don't get me wrong, I want to support small business, but it is substantially more to go this way.
