I also tried looking to buy out of state but because I am not too sure about the financing/loan restrictions as well as who to manage the property and knowing my tenants, I would not stray far from New England until I get my feet wet.

I love how those staying in Florida always make sure to remind us new englanders of their sunny warm weather :-D I was planning on moving in a few years as well, but I guess all these sunset and palm tree photos did their charm causing me to plan this move much sooner.

I've decided to pass on this property at this time, but living and working in New England, I see LOTS of older homes with multiple layers of paint, probably lead, so this is all good advice that will be valuable for me.
