I am posting this now because the most recent scourge of fraud I experienced was related to the holidays…7 Hot Fraud TrendsCommitting ACH fraud (doesn't require hacking anything, super easy to do and closing your account won't automatically stop the fraud)Hacking medical facilities such as doctor offices, dentist offices and urgent care clinicsHacking moving companies, mortgage loan providers and utility providersArmed with the information from #2 and #3 (sometimes using much less information), thieves can then take over your credit agency accountTaking over your two-step verification and/or account recovery information (because you haven't set it up yet)Subscription services and purchases with common companies like Apple, Amazon and VerizonCommitting fraud during the holidays and/or when you are moving and/or looking to buy a new house.

@Josh Espejo I think your best bet is to have your family member with the dentist office speak to several local portfolio lenders in their market (i.e. call small community banks and ask to speak to their commercial lender).
