I found the podcast 2 days ago and started with episode 1.

Folks just have to realize NO money up front and especially.I wish BP would be able to tag the American Greed episode on REmington financial and tag Ingrid Robinsons website .. these were classic cases of fake lenders.. with Ingrid being the victim and taking down Remington who had been doing this for over 20 years.. those guys had some cajones they took Due Diligence and deposit money for all those years but never over 10k so anyone complaining it would not go anywhere.. it was said on the show that in all those years they closed no more than 3 or 5 loans.. both the principals got major prison time.the issue today is most of these folks are hiding on the internet or are off shore very tough to catch and your not getting any funding or money back thats a given.

I skip numerous episodes anymore as I don't gain much useful, real life, tactual knowledge.

One notable exception was an episode of HBO’s Silicon Valley, where the hapless Jared has tried for over a year to evict a nonpaying “professional tenant” who is currently subleasing Jared’s unit through Airbnb because California’s landlord/tenant laws are so biased in favor of the tenant that an eviction can take close to an eternity.

I recently listened to a podcast on The Landlord Diaries, episode FF86, where they talk about “co-hosting” as a term used to get around this exact thing.

The whole episode is good but you can find info about demographics about the :33 minute mark. 

It looking like a hoarding episode nightmare.Literally two hours after seeing my property in that extreme trashed state, this nice fellow calls me with threats.

This thread reminds me of the episodes of Cops where the cop always thinks he is right.

I'd go back and relisten to the episode...you never pay capital gains on a flip no matter how long you own it.
