I've heard of it being done in a steel mill water reclamation system where the original cast iron piping was rotting out inside of cement floors etc due to the corrosive/leeching by incoming low pH waste water.

Also the cost of the carpet install is all inclusive at HD so if you have an abnormal amount of stairs (ie. a tri-level unit) then you will save a ton by not paying per stair.

Inspection came back and I estimate $15k repairs (which includes $5k for two trees to be removed hanging over the roof, and $5k for a back deck that is wood leading to concrete stairs - terrible construction).
