Quiet neighborhoods and not to far from Atlanta Airport.

I don't know how to fly a plane, but I'm pretty sure when I'm around an airport, and I look up in the sky, someone IS flying those planes.

New York City, Los Angelas, Chicago and Atlanta immediately come to mind, there's a whole list of the major passenger traffic airports I found on Source: Wikipedia.  

However, I would be learning an entirely new area to a city that I have never actually been in, outside of layovers at the airport.

I'm with Andrew on this one... smaller towns while offering great cash flow potential can get crushed by movement of big employers so be sure to heavily research the economy of the town as a whole when looking in more rural areas... usually something like a regional commercial airport or a big hospital can elevate worries on topics like this as larger infrastructural investments from both companies and the government can alleviate some of the risk in theory.
