I have made the prospect of committing to an aggressive investment property venture My primary hobby.  

My dad also looks to invest as a hobby part-time and is willing to take on part of the classroom and exam expenses, however, he has yet to close on any deals as well. 

I am not motivated by money, it is a fun and personally rewarding hobby.

Maybe this is just a hobby business for her.

I’m still trying to unpack this HUD-1 concept but what I also took away from Alex’s podcast was his amazing book recommendations (currently reading Factfulness-super uplifting btw) and his belief in having a money making hobby, creative outlet hobby and physical hobby.

I'm a big believer in the idea of having 3 hobbies that keep you in shape, make money, and keep you creative.

I now understand the value of a margin of safety (have much more investment income than you need because it's always easier to do something with excess income than it is to make up a shortfall of income).Question: If you spend time on a hobby you really enjoy doing and the hobby happens to bring in more money than you spend on it (taxable income), is it still a hobby?

I get most of my thrill out of cheap hobbies...

But I enjoy adding to my net worth (wealth building is my profitable hobby).
