If the software is not simplifying your life or making you more accurate, you shouldn't use it.Software does have extremely helpful features like online payments, marketing syndication (click a button and your property is advertised on multiple sites), electronic document review/signing, maintenance tracking, and owner reports.

While this was a cost savings, I still could not file electronically because neither software supported filing an election for which I needed to do.

Scanned copies and electronic faxes are the norm these days, and you should be able to send everything electronically to who ever needs it.

I'm not inflexible, and in California, by law, I have to allow the tenant an option for payment besides cash or electronic funds transfer.  

My preference would be electronic transfers but wanted to verify those records are sufficient3. 

I used LR ... shown as ********  Lease Run which allows you to manage the application and credit rating electronically.

I went to the Georgia State Circuit Court website and of course my county is one of the only ones who isn't electronic yet.

I'm not sure what each state's requirements are but I do a lot of business in Michigan.You can sign and close electronically as a buyer in Michigan... no power of attorney (PoA) required.Sellers must be present or have a PoA. 

More expensive options are landlord locks or an electronic system.
