It seems the majority of STR in the states are in the south and eastern states, and so cal.

Pretty much all over Eastern Idaho, being close to Yellowstone and lots of big family gatherings that take place all the time.

During the buying process we were warned and it proved true that you wanted to avoid being south of Michigan Ave. there is also a college there Eastern Michigan (my target) and it was helpful to be nearby.

Compared to other "East of the river" (meaning on the Eastern side of the Connecticut river) towns, the taxes are a little better than East Hartford, and the property is a lot more affordable and available than Glastonbury and South Windsor.Also, many of the neighborhoods with multi-family properties are quieter, with more space, so its the type of neighborhood that you might choose to live in as well.

The properties are in Greenville, NC which is in eastern North Carolina. 

In eastern montana you see old 3/2 mobiles sell in the $25,000 range without land...  

As I mentioned above, in respect to location, I'm certainly interested in investing in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia (Martinsburg, Berkeley Springs, Charles Town, Harpers Ferry, etc.)...

I haven't done an eviction in eastern Washington but I would imagine it is very similar to the west side of the state.My advice would be to contact an attorney and have them serve all of the required notices.
