I'll use KC for example, I can get there from any bay area airport (and sac) in a reasonable amount of time.

I live near the San Francisco airport on the "Peninsula" which is basically Silicon Valley, the place with all that crazy venture capital money and tons of software related jobs here.

They might not head to the airport and fly to wherever, but driving to PF or Idaho or FL is well within the means of most working families.

Every time I come back from a vacation, as soon as I step out of the airport, I must say that SF Bay Area is better than any vacation destination I have been to.I do not agree with people leaving Bay Area.

I have to make a run to the airport and did not read your long post, but there is no shame for backing out of a signed contract and your broker should back you up 100% so that you will continue to do business with him in the future.I've backed out of many escrows and if the seller gives you a hard time returning your money then the escrow cannot be closed until a resolution is achieved that both parties agree to and the seller cannot open a new  escrow for another buyer until your escrow is closed.
