Account Closed, back when I was a Marine Embassy Guard I recall Foreign Service Officers taking 1-4 years to learn a language/culture/etc prior to being posted in a given country.

I am thinking of buying and investing in a residential type house that has at least 2 miles of nature (no other neighbors or even stores) surrounding it, that is about 30minutes to 1 hour drive to an interesting city that has cafes, stores, and cultural events, culture, and all that cities have to offer.

I always associated "flips" with a formulaic, fast turnaround of a fixer into something better/more marketable and contemporary.

It's not a super high-end or trendy neighborhood – competition to grab a house here at the retail level is fierce, it's a bit bohemian, and the buyers know full well they're dealing with a thin-margin culture here. 

That's just my opinion, but we've also seen an influx of big tech companies, a hot-bed for start-ups, and a rapidly growing educated and culturally diverse population.

Don't know why really just a cultural thing.
