It doesn't really matter what your lease says or what others tell you that the tenant is not suppose to do that....I think you just found out they are going to do it anyways (the bad ones always do it there way).Don't get me wrong, I have that phrase in my leases too, but you need to do all the rest too.

@Emily Powell If you are referring to a policy that can handle multiple locations/buildings on 1 master policy, 2 is the minimum for some companies.As a side note, the "Umbrella policy" phrase is misused here on BP very often.

Most contracts have a phrase something like "seller to provide free and clear title" Basically the seller is responsible for anything due before settlement and you are responsible for anything due after settlement.
