@Maira Molina There's no "business license," in a generic sense like a medical license or a CPA license or bar license (i.e. lawyers or booze), required to start in real estate investing.

Once this document is created, then you can sleep good at night knowing a professional who understands the Investment World not only prepared the document you are using but will also have to defend it if need be.I would NOT use a Local Club or some other Investor's document or a generic lease form from Staples/Office Depot or Legal Zoom.

Mrlandlord has good leases that you can look at or you maybe able to put in a generic lease that this person is renting a room from you but make sure you put down specific information.A good idea would be to call the housing court in your area and ask them how to write up this lease.Marc
