I signed up for Bigger Pockets a few weeks ago and have spent about 3 hours a day listening to podcasts and another 1-2 reading the forums, browsing the real estate sites and playing with the various calculators trying to make sure I understand the fundamentals around how to identify a good deal.So basically at this point I probably know just enough to be dangerous. :)I think the next step for me is to start trying to find that first deal, and so as a first step towards that goal I'm introducing myself here.

Hello guys/gals,I have been browsing through bigger pockets for some time now and finally ready to post some questions and comments.

I think your best bet is to simply browse all these forms for a while and get an understanding of how other people, especially the successful ones, work.

I have been browsing the BP forums for a couple of years but have never contributed until now, I have also listened to almost all of the podcasts.

Usually this fixes most browsing problems.

But if you haven't been already, browse the forums, go through podcasts and blogs, set up keywords for your area and other REI interests you have so that you're notified when they're used, head out to a local REIA meetup (find one on meetup.com) and take a look at The Ultimate Beginner's Guide.
