I have this issue as a reoccuring theme in mortgage lending with my REI clients since banks always want tons of reserves for each property/business/liability and no one wants to to have their money earn .25% annually in a CD while waiting for the next "deal."

To over-simplify, if lending were as available as potential home-buyers would like it to be home prices would launch into inter-stellar space - well beyond the previously elevated values we saw before the crash - purely due to to supply and demand: supply is restricted as is growth in supply while demand is increasing exponentially.

I saw an article that SC was the 5th best state to to do this.1 year redemption 12% interest (3,6,9,12 depending which quarter the redemption is made.)When redemption period is over and property is not redeemed, county mails you the deed.
