This seems to leave me looking for my first cashflow positive property but that appears not to exist in the GTA.I always imagined landlording property nearby—you know, in case a faucet starts dripping and I need to run out there to fix it.

There are some cheap components on some like plastic sinks and faucets, Uber cheap cabinets and odd shaped doors.

@Pat GoodyearYou could also get property management for a couple properties and continue to self manage ones that are closer to your home, or easier tenants, etc.You could also put money back into properties up front to prevent periodic handyman repairs (such as new roof, water heater, toilets, bathtub faucets, etc.)A lot of good advice from others.
