Typically, a developer needs to do the early stage work and run numbers based on preliminary data to figure out two things: The 1st is define what the Planned Project is all about (Highest & Best Use, Density, Finish Levels, Cost, Income, Expenses, Capital Stack (Debt & Equity), Partnership Structure with an Investor, Holding Period and so on.The 2nd is for the Developer to figure out the deal structure with the Landowner; If a purchase, settling on a fair due diligence period that will allow the developer to close at the time the Project is “shovel ready”, the milestones associated with the permitting process and the earnest money released to the Seller as the deal progresses.

All the property managers I've talked to have rarely seen owners be responsible for snow shoveling in MFHs.

I am shovel ready, pending a few miscellaneous items.  

I put on some gloves and used my hands to shovel it all into buckets.

As to landscapers, they're useful to have as I had complaints from neighbors and the town when it's tenant mowing, and if the place is vacant, the landscaper shovel snow in the winter.

If you know this is going to happen it's often better to be the guy selling the shovels than the one mining the gold.  

In order to have your project listed on a crowdfunding site it needs to be shovel ready and you have to have serious experience and successful track record with similar projects in order to qualify.If you do not have the money for the project you need to look at syndicating or doing a partnership.

Granted this means waking up early and shoveling/salting but could be a way to save some money over the winter season.

The shovel-sellers who are selling you the "ringless voicemail" are obviously not that technically adept, because your ringless voicemail marketing MAKES YOUR TARGET'S PHONE RING. 

Because, @Craig Mutz, if the tenant doesn't plow/shovel for any reason (lazy, stoned, out of town) and someone slips and falls on your property, you're the one on the hook--not the tenant.
