They could have issues with your property IE a tree root is making their sprinkler system leak etc.

From my agricultural roots, I think of planting seeds and eating the resulting vegetables and fruits (or killing and eating the animals that eat the vegetables and fruits).

The roots are already lifting up the pavement and causing potential hazard, it is just a matter of time until it finds it way to the sewer line.

I am willing to pay the extra to have the pluming main line scoped looking for tree roots ect.  

Austin is super ridiculously sided with a demand that's planting roots here and living, low inventory and post-recession boom so you're going to get low cash flow and the possibility of high appreciation at the moment.

If it is not their fault (ie a tree root has grown through the sewer pipe which is why the toilet keeps backing up or something like that) then I would probably get the problem fixed after the 3rd time it happened.

unfortunately the three people i had come out and look at it said that by repairing the driveway they would likely cut the main root of the tree and kill it.

My property manager is extremely reluctant or just has no urgency when it comes to larger repairs/ maintenance. 1 example: My properties sewer has tree root intrusion and I asked them to get a quote 2 weeks ago, and have followed up twice and got a we're working on it response.
