Persuasion is an art form and a science.We use it when talking to somebody one on one or if we’re sending out a direct mail letter to potential sellers.Knowing how to convince others to do what you want is a vital skill and one worth honing or adding to your team.So let me get a bit more specific and offer up a specific tip.I know that there are probably quite a few of you who already know this, yet I think it’s worth repeating:It’s all about the other guy… gal… person!

This shouldn't be surprise, I would imagine the same sort of consumer protections are deemed necessary either side of the Atlantic.Of course it is not binding in any US jurisdiction but it is probably more persuasive than anything you can muster to the contrary.

My mentor told me at the beginning of our business relationship, "its us versus them" in regards to tenants, I never forgot that, I am echoing here, however its very very important to note that all tenants are liars when it benefits them, professional tenants are fairly crafty, and persuasive, background checks are your number one weapons, in addition a great lease is invaluable with that said.....

They get no tax benefits aside from the same benefits they'd get if they were visiting (eg being allowed to drive around and be protected from violence and crime.. ) Unfortunately I don't have the persuasive skills to make anyone consider the more nuanced reality of this situation and to see them as ordinary people (who in turn can be completely ordinary tenants), I am just writing this to note that not every hardened old landlord thinks this way, and I think its shameful and sad.
