I am just trying to maintain a stiff upper lip here and, to mix metaphors, to find whatever tattered silver lining that may exist.  

If someone knew of these programs, this could open a lot of doors for my construction company, metaphorically or literally on the doors.

I love the metaphor a lot of people use about driving in the fog.

There's a lot of poison on the internet so I've pretty much lined my thinking like the bible (metaphorically speaking) if what you see out there doesn't line up with what you see in here then question it.

I don't personally have any experience in wholesaling but i've read online that pro wholesalers put fellow investors, and other people who might be interested in buying, on their speed dial, metaphorically, so as to sell properties with maximum speed.

I find motivational books useful in two circumstances:1) Late at night when I've finished reading all the websites I've bookmarked (the right book gives me a good jazz-up for the next day); and,2) After a long day receiving "No's" and other disappointments from the real world of REI (the right book helps me forget just how hard REI can be).And yeah, I'm a total sucker for a new book in a pretty skirt (to badly mix metaphors).....

There's nothing wrong with passing (on deals and the metaphorical basketball) until that east layup presents itself.

I want to know how best to present myself to potential investors so that they can have their share of new bones with better meat (to stretch your metaphor.) 

Is it proverbial, metaphorical, or can I literally go to my local Courthouse with a checkbook and have my cake and eat it too?
