Stephanie was homeless with 6 kids and after running into her and talking for a few minutes she also told me she was not only living in a homeless shelter but had what’s called a Department of Social Services Voucher which means she can move into any apartment and the landlord will be fully paid every month through a county program indefinitely.

I just don't get it, but I do appreciate that some good has come from this book.I suspect much more harm has come from it than good - and the victims who cashed in their 401k, then over leveraged in real estate and are now broke, more often end up homeless or kill themselves than come on the internet to admit what it did to them.

It makes intuitive sense that you would do that absent any underwriting or mortgage stuff mucking up your plans.If you have a lease that says they are moving in prior to you moving out, it doesn't make sense that you would voluntarily be homeless, thus making it look like you dummied up a lease and had a buddy make a security deposit just to check a box, which would be mortgage fraud.

It is hard for someone who has a voucher and they only have so much time to secure a lease before it is revoked.It's a very unsettling experience for someone who knows if they don't use the voucher they could end up homeless.

That reason may just be that it is a cute 2 bedroom duplex on the edge of a C class neighborhood (this would be ok)... or it could be because only homeless people want to live on the street (this would be a nightmare.)Interview Contractors in advance.
