Ripping out carpet and refinishing wood floors underneath.

We ripped up the disgusting carpet and refinished the hardwood floors with a dark stain.I got a large pedestal sink with faucet for free, so that went into the bathroom.

The house has been recently renovated/ freshly painted/ has beautiful refinished hardwood floors/ stainless steel appliances/ etc...

Especially if I hate what I'm doing degreed or not...While attempting to figure it out, I have since, demolished and build my deck, installed crown molding, installed carpets, refinished my kitchen cabinets, remodeled my bathroom, installed my irrigation system, built two window seats, installed windows, build a kitchen island, and designed and built a day bed out of a bunk bed...I had no clue on how to do any of those things, I got books, watched videos, and asked a lot of questions... 

It got a new roof, new paint, new or refinished floors throughout, a new kitchen, powder bath and master bath.

If I can hire a pro to sand my floors and refinish for say $30-$35 per hour, I will do it every time as my time is worth way more than $35p hour.

Can anyone refer someone in the area who specializes in refinishing?

The old carpet makes a good drop cloth, kneeling pad and protects the hardwood from dropping a hammer until you get ready to refinish it if that's in the cards and reduces construction traffic on new carpet.Lots of considerations to each job, common sence should prevail and some backward planning needs to be done so you don't put some aspect of the job in front of another making it more difficult

My dad and i did some cosmetic work (painting, refinished floors) and the house is worth about 120k-130k (per realtor friend).
