Hey @Melanie Stephens, I have stories ranging from having six figures stolen from me from a "mentor" that turned out to be a scam artist, to having a four-unit building wit on the southside of Chicago with every unit being occupied by gang member squatters.

If I had a $75K to $200K car I would probably drive it less than once a month and worry about it getting hit or stolen constantly.If I had never had to make a car payment or baby payments for 4 years I might feel differently.

I've personally never had an issue with crime but I've heard stores about pipes being stripped multiple times from the same property, appliances being stolen, ect.

I will give you the possibility of the wrong listing being typed in which set forth a chain of events... but that is a hard nut to swallow given my experience of keys stolen from lock boxes, signs torn down so others do not know of deals etc - just standard So Cal business practices.

We only file a claim if our place burns down (knock on wood it hasn't happened yet) and I've had copper pipes stolen, tenant decided to spray paint granite counter tops and ceiling fans because he didn't like the color and we had to replace.
