Any time I've tried in the past, lets say out of 10 responses, maybe 3 can form a sentence and actually read what work I need done, 1 will show up to actually do the work, and 0.5 will do the work correctly.

The letter needs to genuine, dont sound like a pawn shop salesmen, try to bring value in as few words as possible because people dont want to read a whole page of words. sign the letter if you type it, and write a little sentence on the bottom of the letter about their property (like hey I love this or that or something like that) to show you're not a pice of crap like the others who write letters using services.
