New York favors tenants, I won't do loans in NY because the laws are not in favor of businesses.So you have this array of things against you.The tarp is either they are hiding activity inside or want to claim you invade their privacy.

They can to an extent, but if you're formed in another state with privacy like WY, it acts as a deterrent for contingency lawyers to signal "this is not worth chasing" Did you form your series LLC yet?

Some lawyers I've talked to think you need separate articles of formation for each series - which would negate any savings on filing fees.The second issue - a benefit of having properties in separate LLCs is privacy.  

This strategy allows you the best financing options available in your personal name, avoids the foreign filing fees, protects you from the Due on Sale Clause and can also provide privacy through removing your name from public record when created correctly.The SLLC was essentially made for investors who were scaling up and needed a better entity to scale with their portfolios.
