They can to an extent, but if you're formed in another state with privacy like WY, it acts as a deterrent for contingency lawyers to signal "this is not worth chasing" Did you form your series LLC yet?

Some lawyers I've talked to think you need separate articles of formation for each series - which would negate any savings on filing fees.The second issue - a benefit of having properties in separate LLCs is privacy.
